I just chewed the nurse out. She realized that she had screwed up and couldn't defend herself. She told me that she would arrange for the floor coordinator to come by, I told her to please do so. Good news is Holly went 5.75 hours without pain meds. The patient care assistant finally helped me out, she came into the room and did a sonogram of her bladder and said oh you are full we are going to catheterize you again. I said no, Holly said I want to get up and go to the bathroom, the PCA's jaw almost hit the floor, she said lets try use a bed pan then she looked at me and I said you heard her she wants to get up and go pee. She okayed it with the nurse and Holly got up on her own and walked to the bathroom, went pee, walked back to the bed, and looked at the PCA and said now can I have my pain meds. I think the PCA almost passed out, she couldn't believe Holly just did it. I will be glad when the new nurse comes on at 7 PM. The PCA now knows Holly and the new nurse will meet me soon, hopefully the nurse will be more responsive to Holly's needs.

Oh, thank you, Cortney, for insisting that Holly is allowed to do things the way she wants to, which may not be what the RNs expect but it is the way that you and Holly realize will be the best way to continue her healthy recovery. Prayers and more prayers as we read about the miracles that continue to occur with Holly! LLLove, Linda/Vince, Starkville, MS

Loving the blogs! Tell Holly I'm proud of her going pee on her own. Wow, what a brave wife you have. We continue to pray for her and your family. I like how you shared specific prayer requests. That is helpful for those that are praying.
Steve and I met up with Rachel and many of the women that Holly knows from MOPS. Everyone is praying!!
With Love, Janice, Steve and family

Holly
Great to hear your doing good, you have been in my thoughts and prayers ever since the day your Dad told me about the pain you had been going through.
I know when we were growing up we all had our differance's but, we all seem to grow older and wiser.
Thank the Lord that you have such a great family looking after you, you get I know you cant wait to get better and to get on with life, so your family doesnt have to worry about you. Your children are beautiful. I had seen their photos at your dads shop, he is so proud of you and Freeman both.
Good Luck and get well soon, You are in our thoughts & prayers.
